From Dallas, my husband and I relocated to the Texas/Oklahoma border, Lamar County to be exact, to raise our children.
As a stay at home mom, I was always taking our children on adventures including regular road trips to Dallas to explore and learn street smarts like…
locked doors save lives,
be aware of your surroundings,
keep your flight distance,
and know your exits.
My daughter always sat up front with me keeping us in music to which we sang and danced our way down the road.
My son was ever the quiet, thoughtful one who enjoyed the backseat to himself.
On this day, our destination was Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. We turned the music down to go through the Dallas Mixmaster which required full attention.
As we emerged from the other side, my son rang out from the backseat,
“Look! It’s God’s microphone!”
And that’s what we’ve called the Reunion Tower ever since. I will never love a skyline more.
