And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.
It’s too late
When the angels take flight
It’s too late
To escape wrath of God
It’s too late
For those marked by the beast
It’s too late
Angels fly, wrath of God
It’s too late, it’s too late to escape
Wrath of God
One
Empties his vial on a world unsuspecting
Sores plague the marked
There’s none left rejecting
Wounds self inflicted
For God disrespecting
Two
Splashes the sea
Waves roll into blood
Death roars angrily
All die in this hellish flood
Oceans collapsing
Shrieks swallowed up into mud
Three
Soars out and overhead
Over rivers, streams, and fountains
For saints and prophets bloodshed
Blood they’ll drink, no count ins
True and righteous are his judgments
Blood comes rushing down out of the mountains
Four
Flings at the sun
Breaching the ozone that day
And they shake their fists at God
Never will they repent, kneel, pray
Salvation thrown away
For rotting flesh, a roll in the hay
Five
Rains down on the beast
Light gives way to darkness
The lost keep blaming God
Never owning their part in this
Watching the whole world blow
Damned apartness
It’s too late
When the angels take flight
It’s too late
To escape wrath of God
It’s too late
For those marked by the beast
It’s too late
Angels fly, wrath of God
It’s too late, it’s too late to escape
Wrath of God
Six
Hits the Euphrates
Straightaway, the river is dried
Now the kings of the east
Invade the west side
From the mouths of the dragon, false prophet, and beast
Three unclean frogs leapt out with pride
Let’s go! Let’s go! Let’s go!
They go gathering kings to battle
Murmuring, muttering
Herding them to slaughter like cattle
Tickling those arrogant ears
As on and on and on, they prattle
Seven
Splashes the air
The Lord says, “It is done”
And they gather altogether
Unto a place called Armageddon
Thunder, lightning, voices stir
All the world’s shaking, there’s nowhere to run
Into three splits the great city
As the cities of the world come crumbling down
In memorial to Babylon
In the wine of God’s wrath, she’ll drown
Isles fled, mounts crumbled, great hail fell
Still they blasphemed God
No hope on the ground
It’s too late
When the angels take flight
It’s too late
To escape wrath of God
It’s too late
For those marked by the beast
It’s too late
Angels fly, wrath of God
It’s too late, it’s too late to escape
Wrath of God
